Our commitment
Peak Dental Care is committed to making our website usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. You should be able to find our hours, understand our services and reach our team without running into barriers. If any part of this site gets in your way, we want to hear about it and we will help you another way.
Standard we follow
We are working to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. This builds on WCAG 2.1 Level AA, the benchmark referenced by the U.S. Department of Justice under the Americans with Disabilities Act and by the Department of Health and Human Services under Section 1557 of the Affordable Care Act, which applies to health care providers.
What we have tested and confirmed
Our most recent review was on 30 September 2026. We tested our homepage, contact page, service pages, doctor biographies, gallery, reviews, patient resources and blog, at desktop width and at phone widths down to 320 pixels. We confirmed the following:
- Images. Every image that carries information has a text description. Purely decorative images are correctly hidden from screen readers rather than announced, so they do not add noise.
- Forms. Our contact form is the only form on the site. Every field has a programmatic label, required fields are marked visually and in code, and error messages identify the field concerned.
- Keyboard use. The site can be operated without a mouse. The focus indicator is clearly visible as you move through the page, and the “Skip to content” link works — it moves keyboard focus past the navigation to the main content.
- Structure. Each page has one main heading and proper landmark regions, so screen reader users can move between navigation, main content and footer.
- Contrast. Text meets the 4.5:1 minimum contrast ratio against its background.
- Small screens. At a 320-pixel-wide viewport — the narrowest size the guidelines require — pages reflow without forcing you to scroll sideways, and buttons and links meet the 24-pixel minimum target size, apart from links inside a sentence, which the guidelines exempt. One data table — the list of third-party services in our Privacy Policy — scrolls sideways within its own frame, which the guidelines permit for tables; the page around it does not.
- Documents. We publish no PDFs. Everything on this site is web content, which avoids the most commonly reported accessibility barrier in health care.
Automated testing found no Level A or Level AA issues on the pages reviewed.
Known limitations
We publish what we know is imperfect rather than claiming the site is flawless.
- Third-party tools. Our online patient forms, the embedded map and our spam protection are provided by outside companies, and we do not control their code. If any of them is difficult for you to use, call us — we will complete the form with you by phone or in the office.
- A heading level is skipped in our footer. This can make the footer’s structure read oddly in a screen reader. It is on our list to correct.
- Automated testing has limits. Automated tools catch only a portion of accessibility problems. We have not yet carried out formal testing with people who use screen readers daily, and we would particularly welcome feedback from anyone who does.

Getting help another way
You never need to use this website to become a patient or to book an appointment. Anything here can be read to you, explained or handled over the phone by our team. We can complete patient forms with you by phone or at the front desk, discuss treatment options verbally, and provide information in large print on request.
How we keep this up to date
- An automated accessibility scan runs on the first of every month, and the result — including any new problem found — is written to a dated internal record.
- We re-test by hand when we make significant changes to the site.
- We update this page when what it says stops being true.
Assessment approach
This statement is based on a self-assessment carried out by our website agency using axe-core automated testing together with manual checks of keyboard operation, focus visibility, reflow, target size and screen-reader naming. It has not been reviewed by an independent third-party auditor.
